Master Mason, Cumberland Lodge 60, of North Carolina, now 8, of Tennessee, April
28, 1813; Knight Templar, at Nashville, about 1826. Was the First Master Mason
made in Cumberland Lodge. Filled nearly every office in all the subordinate bodies.
Was Eminent Commander of Nashville Commandery I from its organization in 1846
until 1850. Was Grand High Priest in 1829; Grand Master of Masons in 1817, 1818,
1821, 1824, 1841 and 1842.
Died June 2, 1858.
